Yeah. We Launched a Patreon
In the age of crowd funding, creators have a choice to make. Do they try and go a conventional route, advertising in our case, or do they try and be funded by the community. I've been around long enough to know that no one likes ads. Even when managed well, there's a lot that can go wrong and become bothersome. So, I decided to try and appeal directly to you fine folks.
If this works, you will never see a Google ad on this site. There are tiers for patreons to place ads, but those will be less intrusive and hopefully more of interest to you. And will further my goal, which is to create a single site for the community to be informed about what the community is doing. Facebook is great, but it has fractured into thousands of groups and sub groups that can be hard to keep track of. I don't want to replace those groups, I just want to be the place that people can go to when they don't remember where they saw this preview or that, or heard this bit of news or that.
Let's have some fun.
